Job

13 : 1 Behold, my eye has seen all this,my ear has heard and understood it.
13 : 2 What you know, I also know;I am not inferior to you.
13 : 3 But I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire toargue my case with God.
13 : 4 As for you,you whitewash with lies;worthless physicians are you all.
13 : 5 Oh that you wouldkeep silent, and it would be your wisdom!
13 : 6 Hear now my argumentand listen to the pleadings of my lips.
13 : 7 Will youspeak falsely for Godand speakdeceitfully for him?
13 : 8 Will you show partiality toward him? Will youplead the case for God?
13 : 9 Will it be well with you when hesearches you out?Orcan you deceive him, as one deceives a man?
13 : 10 He will surely rebuke youif in secret you show partiality.
13 : 11 Will not hismajesty terrify you,and the dread of him fall upon you?
13 : 12 Your maxims are proverbs ofashes;your defenses are defenses of clay.
13 : 13 Let me have silence, and I will speak, and let come on me what may.
13 : 14 Why should I take my flesh in my teethandput my life in my hand?
13 : 15 Though he slay me, I willhope in him;yet I willargue my ways to his face.
13 : 16 This will be my salvation, that the godless shall not come before him.
13 : 17 Keep listening to my words, and let my declaration be in your ears.
13 : 18 Behold, I haveprepared my case;I know that I shall be in the right.
13 : 19 Who is there who will contend with me?For then I would be silent and die.
13 : 20 Only grant me two things, then I will nothide myself from your face:
13 : 21 withdraw your hand far from me,and let notdread of you terrify me.
13 : 22 Then call, and I will answer;or let me speak, and you reply to me.
13 : 23 How many are my iniquities and my sins?Make me know my transgression and my sin.
13 : 24 Whydo you hide your faceandcount me as your enemy?
13 : 25 Will you frightena driven leafand pursue drychaff?
13 : 26 For youwrite bitter things against meand make me inheritthe iniquities of my youth.
13 : 27 You put my feet inthe stocksandwatch all my paths;you set a limit forthe soles of my feet.
13 : 28 Manwastes away likea rotten thing,like a garment that ismoth-eaten.
