Job

36 : 1 And Elihu continued, and said:
36 : 2 Bear with me a little, and I will show you,for I have yet something to say on God's behalf.
36 : 3 I will get my knowledge fromafarand ascriberighteousness to myMaker.
36 : 4 For truly my words are not false;one who isperfect in knowledge is with you.
36 : 5 Behold, God is mighty, anddoes not despise any;he ismighty in strength of understanding.
36 : 6 He does not keep the wicked alive, but givesthe afflicted their right.
36 : 7 He does not withdraw hiseyes from the righteous, but withkings on the thronehe sets them forever, and they areexalted.
36 : 8 And if they arebound in chainsand caught in the cords of affliction,
36 : 9 then he declares to them their workand their transgressions, that they arebehaving arrogantly.
36 : 10 Heopens their ears to instructionand commands that theyreturn from iniquity.
36 : 11 If they listen and serve him, theycomplete their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasantness.
36 : 12 But if they do not listen, theyperish by the swordand diewithout knowledge.
36 : 13 Thegodless in heart cherish anger;they do not cry for help when hebinds them.
36 : 14 Theydie in youth, and their life ends among the cult prostitutes.
36 : 15 He deliversthe afflicted by their afflictionandopens their ear by adversity.
36 : 16 He also allured you out of distressintoa broad place where there was no cramping, and what was set on yourtable was full offatness.
36 : 17 But you are full of the judgment on the wicked;judgment and justice seize you.
36 : 18 Beware lest wrath entice you into scoffing, and let not the greatness ofthe ransom turn you aside.
36 : 19 Will yourcry for help avail to keep you from distress,or all the force of your strength?
36 : 20 Do not long forthe night, when peoples vanishin their place.
36 : 21 Take care;do not turn to iniquity, for this you have chosen rather than affliction.
36 : 22 Behold, God is exalted in his power;who isa teacher like him?
36 : 23 Who hasprescribed for him his way,or who can say,You have done wrong?
36 : 24 Remember toextol his work,of which men havesung.
36 : 25 All mankind has looked on it;man beholds it from afar.
36 : 26 Behold, God is great, and weknow him not;the number of hisyears is unsearchable.
36 : 27 For he draws up the drops of water;they distill hismist inrain,
36 : 28 whichthe skies pour downand drop on mankind abundantly.
36 : 29 Can anyone understandthe spreading of the clouds, the thunderings of hispavilion?
36 : 30 Behold, he scatters his lightning about himand covers the roots of the sea.
36 : 31 For by these hejudges peoples;he givesfood in abundance.
36 : 32 He covers hishands with the lightningand commands it to strike the mark.
36 : 33 Its crashing declares his presence;the cattle also declare that he rises.
