37 : 1 At this also my heart tremblesand leaps out of its place.
37 : 2 Keep listening to the thunder of his voiceand the rumbling that comes from his mouth.
37 : 3 Under the whole heaven he lets it go,and hislightning to thecorners of the earth.
37 : 4 After ithis voice roars;he thunders with his majestic voice, and he does not restrain the lightningswhen his voice is heard.
37 : 5 God thunders wondrously with his voice;he doesgreat things that we cannotcomprehend.
37 : 6 For tothe snow he says,Fall on the earth, likewise to the downpour, his mighty downpour.
37 : 7 Heseals up the hand of every man, that all men whom he made mayknow it.
37 : 8 Then the beasts go into theirlairs, and remain in theirdens.
37 : 9 Fromits chambercomes the whirlwind, andcold from the scattering winds.
37 : 10 By the breath of Godice is given, andthe broad waters are frozen fast.
37 : 11 He loads the thick cloud with moisture;the clouds scatter his lightning.
37 : 12 Theyturn around and around by hisguidance,to accomplish all that he commands themon the face ofthe habitable world.
37 : 13 Whether forcorrection or for hislandor forlove, he causes it to happen.
37 : 14 Hear this, O Job;stop andconsider the wondrous works of God.
37 : 15 Do you know how God lays his command upon themand causes the lightning of his cloud to shine?
37 : 16 Do you know the balancingsof the clouds, the wondrous works of him who isperfect in knowledge,
37 : 17 you whose garments are hotwhen the earth is still because of the south wind?
37 : 18 Can you, like him,spread out the skies,hard as a cast metalmirror?
37 : 19 Teach us what we shall say to him;we cannot draw up our case because ofdarkness.
37 : 20 Shall it be told him that I would speak?Did a man ever wish that he would be swallowed up?
37 : 21 And now no one looks on the lightwhen it is bright in the skies, when the wind has passed and cleared them.
37 : 22 Out of the north comes golden splendor;God is clothed withawesome majesty.
37 : 23 The Almighty&emdash;wecannot find him;he isgreat in power;justice and abundant righteousness he will notviolate.
37 : 24 Therefore menfear him;he does not regard any who arewise in their own conceit.
