105 : 1 Oh give thanks to theLord;call upon his name;make known his deeds among the peoples!
105 : 2 Sing to him, sing praises to him;tell of all his wondrous works!
105 : 3 Glory in his holy name;let the hearts of those who seek theLordrejoice!
105 : 4 Seek theLordand hisstrength;seek his presence continually!
105 : 5 Remember thewondrous works that he has done,his miracles, andthe judgments he uttered,
105 : 6 O offspring ofAbraham, his servant,children of Jacob, hischosen ones!
105 : 7 He is theLordour God;hisjudgments are in all the earth.
105 : 8 Heremembers his covenant forever,the word that he commanded, fora thousand generations,
105 : 9 the covenant that he made with Abraham,hissworn promise to Isaac,
105 : 10 which he confirmed toJacob as a statute,to Israel as an everlasting covenant,
105 : 11 saying,To you I will give the land of Canaanasyour portion for an inheritance.
105 : 12 When they werefew in number,of little account, andsojourners in it,
105 : 13 wandering from nation to nation,from one kingdom to another people,
105 : 14 heallowed no one to oppress them;herebuked kings on their account,
105 : 15 saying,Touch not my anointed ones,do my prophets no harm!
105 : 16 When hesummoned a famine on the landandbroke all supplyof bread,
105 : 17 he hadsent a man ahead of them,Joseph, who wassold as a slave.
105 : 18 Hisfeet were hurt with fetters;his neck was put in a collar of iron;
105 : 19 untilwhat he had said came to pass,the word of theLordtested him.
105 : 20 The king sent andreleased him;the ruler of the peoples set him free;
105 : 21 hemade him lord of his houseand ruler of all his possessions,
105 : 22 to bindhis princes at his pleasureand to teach his elders wisdom.
105 : 23 ThenIsrael came to Egypt;Jacobsojourned inthe land of Ham.
105 : 24 And theLordmade his people very fruitfuland made them stronger than their foes.
105 : 25 Heturned their hearts to hate his people,todeal craftily with his servants.
105 : 26 Hesent Moses, his servant,and Aaron,whom he had chosen.
105 : 27 They performed his signs among themand miracles inthe land of Ham.
105 : 28 Hesent darkness, and made the land dark;theydid not rebelagainst his words.
105 : 29 He turned their waters into bloodandcaused their fish to die.
105 : 30 Their land swarmed with frogs,even inthe chambers of their kings.
105 : 31 He spoke, and there cameswarms of flies,and gnats throughout their country.
105 : 32 He gave them hail for rain,and fierylightning bolts through their land.
105 : 33 He struck down their vines and fig trees,andshattered the trees of their country.
105 : 34 He spoke, and thelocusts came,young locusts without number,
105 : 35 which devoured all the vegetation in their landand ate up the fruit of their ground.
105 : 36 Hestruck down all the firstborn in their land,the firstfruits of all their strength.
105 : 37 Then he brought out Israel withsilver and gold,and there was none among his tribes who stumbled.
105 : 38 Egypt was glad when they departed,fordread of them had fallen upon it.
105 : 39 Hespread a cloud for a covering,and fire to give light by night.
105 : 40 They asked, and hebrought quail,and gave thembread from heaven in abundance.
105 : 41 He opened the rock, andwater gushed out;it flowed throughthe desert like a river.
105 : 42 For heremembered his holy promise,andAbraham, his servant.
105 : 43 So he brought his people out with joy,hischosen ones withsinging.
105 : 44 And hegave them the lands of the nations,and they took possession of the fruit of the peoples' toil,
105 : 45 that they mightkeep his statutesandobserve his laws.Praise theLord!
