132 : 1 Remember, OLord, in David's favor,allthe hardships he endured,

132 : 2 how he swore to theLordandvowed tothe Mighty One of Jacob,

132 : 3 I will not enter my houseor get into my bed,
|
132 : 4 I will notgive sleep to my eyesor slumber to my eyelids,
|
132 : 5 until Ifind a place for theLord,a dwelling place forthe Mighty One of Jacob.

132 : 6 Behold, we heard of it inEphrathah;we found it inthe fields of Jaar.

132 : 7 Let us go to his dwelling place;let usworship at hisfootstool!

132 : 8 Arise, OLord, and go to yourresting place,you and the ark of yourmight.

132 : 9 Let yourpriests beclothed with righteousness,and let yoursaints shout for joy.

132 : 10 For the sake of your servant David,do not turn away the face ofyour anointed one.

132 : 11 TheLordswore to David a sure oathfrom which he will not turn back:One of the sons of your bodyI will set on your throne.

132 : 12 If your sons keep my covenantand my testimonies that I shall teach them,their sons also forevershallsit on your throne.

132 : 13 For theLordhaschosen Zion;he hasdesired it for his dwelling place:

132 : 14 This is myresting place forever;here I willdwell, for I have desired it.
|
132 : 15 I will abundantlybless her provisions;I willsatisfy her poor with bread.
|
132 : 16 Herpriests I will clothe with salvation,and hersaints will shout for joy.
|
132 : 17 There I will makea horn to sprout for David;I have prepareda lamp formy anointed.

132 : 18 His enemies I willclothe with shame,but on him his crown will shine.
