4 : 1 Answer me when I call, O God of myrighteousness!You havegiven me relief when I was in distress.Be gracious to me and hear my prayer!
4 : 2 O men,how long shall my honor be turned into shame?How long will you love vain words and seek afterlies?Selah
4 : 3 But know that theLordhasset apartthe godly for himself;theLordhears when I call to him.
4 : 4 Be angry,and do not sin;ponder in your own heartson your beds, and be silent.Selah
4 : 5 Offerright sacrifices,and put yourtrust in theLord.
4 : 6 There are many who say,Who will show us some good?Lift upthe light of your face upon us, OLord!
4 : 7 You have putmore joy in my heartthan they have when their grain and wine abound.
4 : 8 In peace I will bothlie down and sleep;for you alone, OLord, make medwell in safety.
