7 : 1 OLordmy God, in you do Itake refuge;save me from all my pursuers and deliver me,
7 : 2 lest likea lion they tear my soul apart,rending it in pieces, withnone to deliver.
7 : 3 OLordmy God,if I have done this,if there iswrong in my hands,
7 : 4 if I have repaidmy friendwith evilorplundered my enemy without cause,
7 : 5 let the enemy pursue my soul and overtake it,and let himtrample my life to the groundand lay my glory in the dust.Selah
7 : 6 Arise, OLord, in your anger;lift yourself up against the fury of my enemies;awake for me; you have appointed a judgment.
7 : 7 Let the assembly of the peoples be gathered about you;over it return on high.
7 : 8 TheLordjudges the peoples;judge me, OLord, according to my righteousnessand according to the integrity that is in me.
7 : 9 Oh, let the evil of the wicked come to an end,and may you establish the righteous&emdash;you whotestthe minds and hearts,O righteous God!
7 : 10 My shield iswith God,who savesthe upright in heart.
7 : 11 God isa righteous judge,and a God who feelsindignation every day.
7 : 12 If a mandoes not repent, Godwillwhet his sword;he hasbent andreadied his bow;
7 : 13 he has prepared for him his deadly weapons,making hisarrowsfiery shafts.
7 : 14 Behold, the wicked manconceives eviland ispregnant with mischiefand gives birth to lies.
7 : 15 He makesa pit, digging it out,and falls into the hole that he has made.
7 : 16 Hismischief returns upon his own head,and on his own skull his violence descends.
7 : 17 I will give to theLordthe thanks due to his righteousness,and I willsing praise to the name of theLord, the Most High.
