94 : 1 OLord, God ofvengeance,O God of vengeance,shine forth!

94 : 2 Rise up, Ojudge of the earth;repay to theproud what they deserve!

94 : 3 OLord,how long shall the wicked,how long shallthe wicked exult?

94 : 4 They pour out theirarrogant words;allthe evildoers boast.
|
|
94 : 5 Theycrush your people, OLord,and afflict your heritage.
|
|
94 : 6 They killthe widow and the sojourner,and murderthe fatherless;
|

94 : 7 and they say,TheLorddoes not see;the God of Jacob does not perceive.

94 : 8 Understand, O dullest of the people!Fools, when will you be wise?

94 : 9 He who planted the ear, does he not hear?He who formed the eye, does he not see?

94 : 10 He whodisciplines the nations, does he not rebuke?He whoteaches man knowledge&emdash;

94 : 11 theLord&emdash;knows the thoughts of man,that they arebut a breath.

94 : 12 Blessed is the man whom youdiscipline, OLord,and whom you teach out of your law,

94 : 13 to give himrest fromdays of trouble,untila pit is dug for the wicked.

94 : 14 For theLordwill not forsake hispeople;he will not abandon hisheritage;
|
|
94 : 15 forjustice will return to the righteous,and all the upright in heart willfollow it.
|
|
94 : 16 Who rises up for me against the wicked?Who stands up for me against evildoers?
|
|
94 : 17 If theLordhad not been my help,my soul would soon have lived in the land ofsilence.
|
|
94 : 18 When I thought,My foot slips,your steadfast love, OLord,held me up.
|
|
94 : 19 When the cares of my heart are many,your consolations cheer my soul.
|
|
94 : 20 Canwicked rulers be allied with you,those who frame injustice bystatute?
|
|
94 : 21 Theyband together against the life of the righteousand condemnthe innocent to death.
|
|
94 : 22 But theLordhas become mystronghold,and my Godthe rock of myrefuge.
|
|
94 : 23 He will bring back on themtheir iniquityandwipe them out for their wickedness;theLordour God will wipe them out.
