2 : 1 I am a roseof Sharon,a lily of the valleys.
2 : 2 As a lily among brambles,so ismy love among the young women.
2 : 3 As an apple tree among the trees of the forest,so is mybeloved among the young men. With great delight I satin his shadow, and hisfruit was sweet to my taste.
2 : 4 Hebrought me to the banqueting house, and hisbanner over me was love.
2 : 5 Sustain me withraisins;refresh me with apples,for I am sick with love.
2 : 6 Hisleft hand is under my head, and his right handembraces me!
2 : 7 Iadjure you,Odaughters of Jerusalem, bythe gazelles or the does of the field, that you not stir up or awaken loveuntil it pleases.
2 : 8 The voice of my beloved!Behold, he comes, leapingover the mountains, bounding over the hills.
2 : 9 My beloved is likea gazelleor a young stag.Behold, there he standsbehind our wall, gazing through the windows, looking through the lattice.
2 : 10 My beloved speaks and says to me:Arise, my love, my beautiful one,and come away,
2 : 11 for behold, the winter is past;the rain is over and gone.
2 : 12 The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singinghas come, and the voice ofthe turtledoveis heard in our land.
2 : 13 The fig tree ripens its figs, andthe vines are in blossom;they give forth fragrance.Arise, my love, my beautiful one,and come away.
2 : 14 O mydove, in theclefts of the rock,in the crannies of the cliff, let me see your face, let mehear your voice, for your voice is sweet, and your face islovely.
2 : 15 Catchthe foxesfor us,the little foxesthat spoil the vineyards, for our vineyards are in blossom.
